Ownership Transition With A Purpose: Choose A Successor You Can Trust

White Barn Ventures is an entrepreneur-led partnership dedicated to acquiring a single, high quality company, providing the long-term commitment and disciplined management required for future success.

MEET WHITE BARN VENTURES’ FOUNDER

ANDREW CLARK

I grew up outside Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with my parents, Jonathan and Shari, and my younger brother, William. I spent my childhood on the tennis court, competing at the national level, which taught me how to perform under pressure, manage my time, and work through adversity.

I began my career in finance and operations roles at two private equity-backed, publicly traded energy companies, Sprague Energy and OPAL Fuels. I’ve led capital formation and strategic transaction efforts, raising $1.0 billion in aggregate capital across debt and equity financing, while executing multiple acquisitions and directing the integration of acquired businesses into existing operations. Along the way, I’ve built strong leadership and people management skills at every level of an organization, managing teams, setting priorities, delegating work, and driving accountability for results, while partnering closely with senior management to align stakeholders and navigate complex organizational dynamics.

I founded White Barn Ventures to find a single exceptional business to own and operate for the long term. I bring respect for what has already been built, a focus on people and culture, and a commitment to steady, purposeful growth. My personal and professional experiences have prepared me to lead with clarity, empathy, and discipline.

I hold an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth and a BA in Economics and Government and Legal Studies from Bowdoin College. In my free time, I enjoy grilling steaks, reading historical non-fiction, playing golf, and cheering on my Philadelphia sports teams.

ABOUT THE NAME

White Barn Ventures is named in honor of my father, Jonathan Clark, who passed away in April 2022. He grew up in Sanford, Maine, and some of my most meaningful family memories are of our annual Christmas trips to Kennebunkport, Maine, where we stayed at the White Barn Inn. The name reflects both his Maine roots and the traditions we shared as a family. It’s a tribute to the hardest-working, most intelligent, and loyal man I have ever known, my greatest supporter, and a lasting source of inspiration. Through White Barn Ventures, I hope to carry forward his values, honor his memory, and build something that would make him proud.

THE VISION

Somewhere out there is a small business owner who has spent decades building a company and is looking for the best way to transition out of the company. That handoff matters. It isn’t just a financial transaction, but rather a transfer of responsibility for employees’ livelihoods, for customer and supplier relationships, and for an owner’s legacy. White Barn Ventures takes that responsibility seriously and intends to be the kind of operator who honors your legacy by bringing a forward-looking approach and entrepreneurial energy the next chapter requires, without the pitfalls of traditional private equity.

OUR COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE

White Barn Ventures is an owner-friendly alternative to traditional private equity, focused on disciplined, long-term growth rather than short term financial returns.
