About White Barn
Meet the Founder and Managing Partner

My name is Andrew Clark. I grew up outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with my parents, Jonathan and Shari, and my younger brother, William. I spent my childhood on the tennis court, competing at the national level, which taught me how to perform under pressure, manage my time, and overcome adversity.
I began my career working for two private equity backed, publicly-traded energy companies, Sprague Energy and OPAL Fuels, in several finance and operations roles. I’ve built strong leadership and people management skills across every level of an organization. I’ve managed a team of ten, setting priorities, delegating work, and driving accountability for results, while working closely with senior management to align stakeholders and navigate complex organizational dynamics.
I founded White Barn Ventures to find exceptional business to own and operate for the long term. I have respect for what has been built, a focus on people and culture, and a commitment to steady, purposeful growth. My personal and professional experiences have prepared me to lead with clarity, empathy, and discipline.
I hold an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth and an economics and government and legal studies degrees from Bowdoin College.

Firm’s Name and Significance
White Barn Ventures is named in honor of my father, who passed away in April 2022. He grew up in Sanford, Maine, and some of my most meaningful family memories are of our annual Christmas trips to Kennebunkport, where we stayed at the White Barn Inn. The name reflects both his Maine roots and the traditions we shared as a family. The firm’s name is a tribute to the hardest-working, most intelligent, and loyal man I have ever known and my greatest supporter and a lasting source of inspiration. Through White Barn Ventures, I hope to carry forward his values, honor his memory, and build something that would make him proud.
There is a small business owner who has been running their company for over two or three decades and now needs to hand the company to someone they trust. That handoff matters. It is not just a financial transaction; it is a transfer of responsibility for employees’ livelihoods, for customer and supplier relationships, for an owner’s legacy. I take that responsibility seriously, and I intend to be the kind of operator who honors it, not by preserving the business in amber, but by giving it the energy, discipline, and long-term thinking it needs to grow. I will provide the continuity of a long-term home with the entrepreneurial energy required for the next chapter.
